Chris LaJeunesse (C.J. Heart)
I first picked up a guitar at the age of 9 and have been performing live, on-stage since age 12. My passion for playing music is second only to my drive to understanding it. I teach with a unique perspective and push my students to better themselves and challenge the way they approach music. I have a degree in music theory and hundreds of hours in live performance. I have been recorded on multiple albums and can help with song writing and tutoring as well.
We can cover all aspects of music theory and live performance, however, my forte is helping students understand Improvisation/Soloing over Blues, Rock, Folk, and Jazz songs.
Ayel Cruz
I have been playing guitar for over a decade and spend my days working with Beginner-Intermediate level students of all ages, mastering the fundamentals of guitar and music theory.
I pride myself on being warm, open, and encouraging with my students and will do anything in my power to help them reach their musical goals. Communication is key in having a great student-teacher dynamic and I prioritize your comfort above all else when working together
We will start from absolute day-0 beginner and move up to collegiate level theory. My greatest strengths are in Rhythm Guitar, particularly folk and pop music.
